Happy Spring...I think O_o.
I'm not sure if Chicago and the rest of the Midwest got the memo, but it is definitely Spring Time!
Trends this Spring/Summer include bright floral prints, soft pastels, street-chic flannels, and more.
Trend #1: Floral
Floral print has always been a favorite of mine. Its a bold print that isn't too eye catching where you'll stick out like florist who takes her job wayyy too serious.
Florals go great with solids and you can mix prints by pairing it with stripes.
Trend #2: Stripes
Black and white are two colors necessary for every wardrobe. This classic print is standing out this Spring/Summer in two piece suits, dresses, and blazers.
Trend #3: Pastels
Soft, pastel colors aren't just for Easter Sunday. Theses shades bring a subtle feel to the Spring/Summer time. Unlike the floral and stripe trends, pastels are a lot calmer and featured in flowing fabrics.
Trend #4: Ethnic/Geometric Print
This is my favorite trend for this season. Apparently it's Beyonce's favorite too! King Bey was spotted in Cuba sporting geometric ensembles, so it wasn't surprising to see these prints on the racks.
Trend #5: Street-Chic Flannel
Remember those red flannel, lumberjack shirts? They're making a big comeback in this season's street style. They're worn around the waist for an old-school flare, and paired with leather for a more tough, street look.
Be sure to keep these trends and styles in mind while shopping this season! Hopefully the weather will break in time for me to wear a few too :)
